Pediatric Health

We are committed to educating families on the general physical and dietary needs of children. Our physicians can provide well-baby care and insight to your baby’s needs as new parents. We also offer childhood immunizations from birth to 18 years of age. At Mimico Medical, we understand the stress parents face when their child becomes ill. Our physicians pay special attention when assessing a sick child.

Geriatric Health

We are committed to supporting seniors in our community, to help them increase their quality of life and health. Schedule an appointment with us to discuss your health history and current medical concerns – our physicians will work with you to provide the best possible treatment and education. Sexual & Reproductive Health

We also offer the Nexplanon birth control implant which is administered quickly and with a minimum of discomfort at our doctor’s offices.

STI Testing & Management

With the recent rise in sexually transmitted infections (STI) and the evolution of smarter bugs, we are committed to providing comprehensive information on the various forms STIs, how to avoid them and how to prevent spread in the community. We also offer diagnostic testing and treatments for common STIs.

Early Pregnancy Management

At Mimico Medical, we are proud to offer early pregnancy counseling and management. We recognize the woman’s right to choose, and can answer questions to make the right treatment and referral choices given each patient’s individual needs.

Family Planning

When it comes to family planning, each case can be very different. We are here to help educate, discuss and manage various issues, such as options for contraception, infertility and menstrual irregularities.

Pap Smears / HPV Testing

Staying ahead of cervical cancer is now possible with the advent of Pap smears. Mimico Medical offers Pap Smears to women between the ages of 21-70 who meet the screening criteria.

Child Psychiatry

Mimico Medical is proud to offer one-time consultations for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age who are suffering from a mental health concern. Our experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide thorough assessments and comprehensive treatment plans, as well as educate the patient and their families on their specific therapeutic needs. Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine

Mimico Medical is proud offer comprehensive physical assessments and treatment plans for musculoskeletal issues in the community. Our clinic is committed to educating patients around manual techniques utilized to reduce pain, improve flexibility and increase strength and mobility. Our goal is to be the best in class for Etobicoke physiotherapy.

Physician Services

Our physicians can provide Comprehensive Assessments for patients with specific sport-related injuries. We work with the patient to provide Holistic treatment plans that best suit your needs. We also provide targeted joint injections for the shoulders, knees and hips, as required, at the physician’s discretion.

Physiotherapy Services

We provide several physiotherapy treatments and services, based on patient needs, including Myofacial Release, Dry-Needling, Sport Injury Rehabilitation, Functional Movement Screens and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation.

In-House Services

We are committed to elevating the patient experience and are proud to offer additional in-house testing services. This includes on-site laboratory test support such as blood and urine draws, rapid strep tests and pregnancy tests. At Mimico Medical, our physicians are also able to provide procedures such as skin tag removal, wart therapy, incisions and drainage, ingrown toe nail removal, and suturing/stitches

We are committed to the educating and protecting our patients’ preventable diseases. Vaccines prevent serious illnesses. The protection offered by some vaccines only last for a certain amount of time, so it is important to receive booster doses in adulthood to keep yourself and those around you safe.

We offer free vaccinations for diphtheria, polio, tetanus, mumps, measles, and rubella. Other immunizations are available for a fee.

Flu Shots

Vaccination against the Flu is the best defense. Ontario Health recommends anyone aged 6 months of older can benefit from the seasonal vaccine. Contact our office today for an appointment.

Travelling

Certain vaccines are required for travel outside Canada. Contact our office 2-3 months before travelling to allow enough time where multiple doses of a vaccine are required. We can best address your vaccination needs based on the type of travel + length of time, and previous vaccines received.

Cosmetic Medicine

At Mimico Medical we are proud to offer Cosmetic Medicine therapies.
